Overview

This article explains how to create a recurring purchase. Recurring purchases are designed to be a simple way to charge a customer a nominated fee at regular intervals for a period of time. Recurring purchased are a standalone feature with no integration with the rest of the Emersion system.

Before users can sell products, they need to be set up in the Products module and made available for sale.

Create Recurring Purchase

After starting the purchase process, click on the Recurring Purchase tab. The following screen will be displayed.

Under the Product Purchase section:

  1. Choose a product category from the list
  2. Choose a product from the list
  3. The price for the product will be populated automatically. This price will be used for the lifetime of the recurring product purchase.
  4. If the default product ledger code is not the one you want to use, choose the correct ledger code from the list.

Under the Purchase Configuration section:

  1. Select the first recurring purchase date. This is the date that the first recurring amount will be generated.
  2. Select an invoicing method.

  3. Select the recurring period length. This is the amount of time between a charge being generated by the system.

Under the Product Information section: Serial/Product Instance Code: If individual stock items for this product are being managed via the product inventory, and depending on the product's configuration, you may be required to do one of two things:

  1. select a product instance from the inventory
  2. Enter the serial number of the item.

If you are not using the inventory, leave this field blank.

Lastly, enter a purchase description for the cardline. When you are happy the information entered is correct, press the Submit button. A popup box will ask you to confirm or cancel the purchase.
