Reports
Emersion has enhanced the Reports framework so that Emersion can control which reports must be exported to CSV and which can be run in the Cumulus user interface. This increases the stability of the system by ensuring larger and more complex reports are run in a way that will not degrade system performance. Users who run larger reports will no longer have to wait for the report to finish and render on the page. Any reports that have been altered will now prompt the user to see the Generated Reports section and download the report.
APIs
Emersion have added new APIs related to placing orders
- GetServiceAddressRequirements
- SetServiceAddress
- SetServiceConfigurationRequirements
A new GetAccounts will retrieve a list of accounts.
A new GetPackageSubscriptions method will retrieve all package subscriptions for an account.
Service Identifiers
The service identifier management screens and rules have undergone a major revamp to make the experience more friendly to users while solidifying the business rules that prevent users from configuring service identifiers incorrectly, particularly the rules around the core identifier. The help pages related to service identifiers and the management of these identifiers has also been updated.

Emersion have introduced a new bulk update tool so service providers can bulk change the status of a customer's invoice approval setting (Auto Approve or No Auto Approve). See this article for further information.

Other Enhancements
These enhancements have been made available to all subscribers.
Pro rata and In arrears Billing Calculations, and Discounting
Over the last several years, Emersion has introduced new features and functions that affect pro rata and in arrears calculations. Ways to provide discounts have grown over time and now include:
- Access fee discounts for package plans
- Access fee discounts for service plans
- Service feature discounts
- Bulk access fee override discounts
- Package chain discounts
- Contract discounts, fixed length and percentage
- Contract credits
These features are designed to have an affect on prorated and in arrears calculations during package migrations, service type migrations, cancellations and upgrades. Emersion has taken the opportunity to streamline these processes for both availability and robustness. We have also taken the time to clarify the business rules around these processes.
Such a fundamental undertaking has incredible benefits, but we acknowledge the nature of the changes come with inherit risks. Our development team has worked hard in the last two months to eliminate or mitigate all known risks and have applied our testing resources with the goal of ensuring the transition is seamless and transparent. While Emersion is confident in our quality assurance processes, we cannot guarantee there will be no negative impacts.
As a precautionary measure, we recommend Emersion clients temporarily disable the auto-approval function for invoices, and manually check invoices until you are comfortable there are no unforeseen impacts to your customers' bills.
How to Disable the Auto-approval Function for Invoices
A report will tell you which of your customers are configured to have their invoices automatically approved. You can find this report under:
NAV: Reports > List All > Finance
The report titled Account Profile and Invoice Status Report (id: 137) will show you your customer's auto approval setting for their invoice.
This report can be used to perform a bulk update and alter the status of account invoice approval setting (Auto Approve or No Auto Approve). When you are satisfied there are no negative impacts, repeat the process to restore the invoice approval settings of your customers.
