Broadsoft Softswitch as a Service
AAPT Broadsoft SoftSwitch as a Service (SSaaS)
Broadsoft SoftSwitch as a Service (SSaaS) is sold by AAPT and known as Voice SSaaS in Emersion.
SSaaS services are semi-manually provisioned, meaning that there is no direct integration between Emersion and AAPT for the purposes of Provisioning. Please follow the standard semi-manual provisioning process to process orders and provision these services.
Daily Usage Collection & Processing
In order to process this usage, Emersion requires the following from you:
- Your AAPT FTP log in credentials.
- Your chosen method of extracting the service identifier.
Usage is collected and processed once the usage files (known as CTOP files) are delivered daily by AAPT to the Service Providers FTP directory. Service Providers selling SSaaS need to supply Emerson with their AAPT FTP log in credentials in order for Emerson to collect these files and process the usage. Service Providers also need to request AAPT add Emersion's IP addresses through the firewall so that we can access the FTP directories.
Emersion can process CTOP usage for SSaaS in three ways.
- Group IDs
- supported for Retail Service Providers only. If you are a wholesale service provider, please use Distinct the Username billing option.
- Emersion will ignore all other identifiers for usage except the Group ID.
- Use 1 Group ID per Customer.
- All usage will be processed against 1 Service Plan.
- FNNs / Hosted Number / Distinct Username
- Supported for Wholesale Service Providers and Retail Service Providers
- Emersion can use the characters before the @ssaas.aapt.com.au in the usage record as the service identifier for usage.
- Custom Username/Realm
- If you have chosen to enter custom realms, overriding the AAPT @ssaas.aapt.com.au default, Emersion will use the entire string of characters (username + realm) as the service identifier.
Other Charges Processing (COCE)
- Service Packs and SIP Sessions are billed by AAPT at an account level, so you will need to manually activate these as service features on the service and reconcile using reports from Cumulus and Broadsoft.
- Hosted Numbers are billed using the number ranges (so these need to be added as identifiers to the service).
