AAPT IP Line

IP-Line (Auth)

This service type is currently available for Layer 3 services only. Layer 3 means that end users authenticate to AAPT's infrastructure, not infrastructure belonging to the service provider (layer 2). Radius is a type of server used to authenticate users to the internet. If your users authenticate to Emersion or your own infrastructure, this is Layer 2. If your users authenticate to your carrier's radius infrastructure, this is layer 3.

Service Configuration

In order to enter services, Emersion will require you to supply the following information to configure the service:

  • Username
  • Password
  • Realm

The Radius realm(s) used by end users is a drop-down selectable list. Before you can enter any services, Emersion must configure the realm(s) used by the service provider so they appear in this list.

AAPT's default option at the time of publication is ip-line.aapt.com.au, however often set up custom realms for service providers to use. Once Emersion configures the realms for your service provider account, you can enter your IP-Line (auth) services.

Submit your realms and the service type the realm(s) will be used for to Emersion via a support ticket. If you are currently onboarding, this should be supplied in the project ticket for IP-Line (auth).
