Commission Management

This collection of articles is designed for Service Providers who need to:

  • Set up and configure the commissions module
  • Apply & manage the Commission rules & logic and link them to products and services to allow Agents to collect commission on sales.
  • Manage and Process Commissions

Configuring the Commissions Module

The high level steps required to complete the set up and configuration of Commissions are:

  • Set up your commission tier(s).
  • If products attract commissions, apply a set of rules to these products.
  • If subscription-based services attract commissions, apply a set of rules to these Package plans, Service plans, Service features and Bolt-ons.
  • Link the commissions tier to the Agent’s Org Unit.
  • Apply the relevant permissions role to the new org unit.
    • Give the agent access to the My Commissions Page.

You can set up commissions for Package plans, Service plans, Service feature and Bolt-ons.

Applying the Commission Tier to the Agent

Follow the steps below to link the Commission tier to the Org Unit of an Agent. This link tells the system that a given commission tier is to be used when assessing and calculating the commissions for an Agent.

Navigation: Admin > Org Units & Roles > Org Units

Select the Org Unit for an Agent in which you will link the commissions tier. In this example, I have an Org unit for my Agent in New South Wales.

This will display the Org Unit for the New South Wales Agent.

  1. From the Subscription Commission Tier list, choose from the list subscription-based commission tier that will apply to this Agent.
  2. Enter a Start Date. By default, the commission tier will be applied to the Agent from the current date.
  3. From the Product Commission Tier list, choose from the list the product-based commission tier that will apply to this Agent.
  4. Enter a Start Date. By default, the commission tier will be applied to the Agent from the current date.

Once you are happy with the changes, Save them.

Permissions: My Commissions (Agents)

The My Commissions page can be granted to Agents so they can see the commissions that have been generated and paid.

To grant the Agents the ability to see this page:

Navigate: Admin > Org Units & Roles > Roles

  1. Select the Role Group to which the Agent belongs. This will display the Role Group configuration page
  2. Click the Manage Module Access Permissions button.
  3. Tick the Commissions – Agent checkbox.
  4. Click Save Role Permission Groups to save.

When the Agent next logs in to Cumulus, they will have access to the Commissions > My Commissions Page

Commissions Reports

The Reports available for Commissions are listed under the Reports > Commissions. You can also export all commissions data using the Export to CSV function from the Commissions > Manage list.
