Overview
Invoices that are flagged for postal delivery can be sent to an internal or external location for collection. Once collected, the invoices can be posted to customers via a mail house or some another external party.
Emersion supports 3 delivery methods:
- FTP Emersion's system pushes the invoice to an external FTP location the service provider has access to in order to retrieve the invoices.
- SFTP Same as STP but with a security layer included in the transport.
- DROP Emersion's system pushes the invoice to a location on our server where the provider can pick them up. Emerson will provide service providers with FTP details.
This suite of features and functions will deliver fully rendered PDF invoice files. They can be delivered as individual files, or bundled into a compressed zip file. Delivery of the invoice XML to generate a PDF is not supported.
Requirements
To utilise this facility, Service providers need to ensure that they:
- configure customer accounts to receive invoices via Post or Email and Post methods.
- provide the details Emerson will request to to set up a postal invoice delivery configuration, depending on your preferred delivery method.
System Events
There are two system event types that are included with this feature:
- The Invoice Post Delivery Event (event Type id 23). This event is provided in the standard suite of events. Service Providers must enable the event after creating a notification template.
- FTP/SFTP invoice delivery failure (event Type id 1038) mapped and enabled with a notification template. This is for only needed for the FTP and SFTP delivery methods.
Report
There is a report available to users of this feature for service providers who choose FTP or SFTP. You can find it under Reports > List > Account.
Report ID: 1116
