Setting up a Retail Service Provider in your Emersion Wholesale Account.

Wholesaler's process for setting up new RSP

Gather Required information from RSP

You need to gather from your new RSP the following information, most of which is probably in your existing contract process.

1. Confirm the RSP is not an existing Emersion customer. - If they are please ask them to contact Emersion and inform us they are buying services from you - DO NOT CONTINUE, you will create an unneeded account.

2. Primary and Billing Contact Details - ensure you have a landline number for the RSP as this is required by some service types. 3. Confirm the ABN. 4. Confirm the login realm/domian they wish to use to login to cumulus 5. If you have "Auth" based service types the realm/s they wish to use for those service types. 6. IP Addresses they wish to access SIRs from (normally should include their office IP, billing provider IPs)

Create the Emersion Account

1. Login to Cumulus using your Wholesale Account login

2. Create the RSP account

     Refer to the video here: Account/ServiceProviderAccountCreation  

3. Create a Package Catalogue for the RSP

      - Create the Package Catalogue
      - Assign Package Groups to the RSP (you may need to create a custom package group)

4. Copy Template Plans into the RSP Account

     - If you have access to Plan Copier, use Plan Copier to copy the appropriate plans from your "Template SP" into the New RSP account.
     - If you don't have access to plan copier, submit a request to Emersion as per the section below

5. Test access to the RSP account using the generated useradmin@realm login.

6. Setup Restricted roles and permissions

     - If you wish to further restrict the access your RSP has you can modify the permissions on the default roles.
     - You may also offer to create additional logins for the RSP to help them start selling quicker.

Submit a ticket to Emersion Support to setup FTP access

Use the template below to create a ticket to Emersion

Provide Information back to your RSP

1. Provide the login details to your contact and ask them to change the password and create accounts for their staff 2. Provide the FTP details received from Emersion and ask them to test access from the IPs provided.

Use the template below to provide details to your RSP:

Please change the useradmin password once you login. You may then create additional users as required.

Use your cumulus login to access the wiki.

Emersion will produce daily SIR files for you to download and import into your billing system.

You will only be able to access the ftp site from the IP addresses listed above.

If you don't have access to Plan Copier, use the template below to create a ticket to have the plans copied.

Please submit one ticket PER SERVICE PROVIDER. Note: These are normally billable tasks.

Please do not use "All Plans" as all means EVERYTHING and 99% of the time you do not want this. Most providers have some packages in tiers and will only want 1 Tier offered to the service provider.
