Overview
Emersion's product pricing features allows service providers to manage product price point information at a very granular level. Emersion provides a number of different ways to apply pricing to products. These include:
- Date driven pricing - E.g. The base or regular product price may be $50.00 but between the 1st and 10th of the month, the price may be $40.00 This is like a special promotion or sale.
- Multiple quantity or bulk pricing - Pricing varies based on the quantity purchased.
- Pricing by Account - Define product prices for a single account
- Pricing by Account profile - Define product prices to all accounts in an account profile.
This suite of articles on pricing pertains to the pricing of products in the Products module. Its scope does not extend to pricing for subscription based services, including service features, which - in part - leverages the Products module framework. Pricing for service features is set via the Product Rate Card.
Product Pricing Hierarchy
When determining what price to charge for a given sale, the system follows a defined set of rules. This diagram below explains how a price for a product is determined. The system uses all methods, and prices can be different based on all these factors. Knowing these rules, or being able to refer to them will assist users in troubleshooting any questions relating to why a specific price for a specific customer for a specific product is being returned.
