Credit Products
Price points have a flag Make this a credit product
The purpose of this flag is to enable the product to be used to credit the cost of the product back to the customer when a product purchase is made. This may be useful:
- when a product is returned
- when a transaction that results in a credit needs its own general ledger code, or is a corresponding 'returns' general ledger code to the product that was originally sold.
- The 'purchase' of the product results in a credited amount Eg: SLA Credit, one-off loyalty discount
This is different to placing a credit on the customer's account via Finance > Credits which limits the credit to a single general ledger code.
